Why choose TEAMS training? Video Conferencing - 27th April 2026
Video conferencing has become one of the main ways that we communicate with suppliers and clients today. It is very different to before, when we welcomed clients to the office or factory on a regular basis. I guess that some may miss those days. We wined and dined our guests, gave them a tour, spent the entire day with them. Great! However, we had to clear the whole day on our schedule, often problems came up and we had to leave the clients to attend the emergency. Now, we take a dedicated one or two hour video conference, everyone is prepared and after, everyone can get back to the everyday tasks.
One big problem remains with this change - the linguistic capabilities of the attendees! In person, we can manage with more visual help and a more relaxed timeframe. On video conferencing, we must rely on our ability to lead conversation clearly, focus and get to the point as well as agreeing and disagreeing in a polite, diplomatic manner. Phew! That is tough. It is where language training on a platform can really help. We do the same thing in lessons. We meet and greet, discuss, interrupt, agree and disagree and finally close the meeting. You can really work on the soft skills required to navigate the online world!
