Over the past 10 or 15 years, our way of life has changed to such an extent that I doubt we could ever hit the reset button and go back.
Administrative practices, finance, business communications, lifestyle and increased homeworking have moved to digital, whether they like it or not. Training has been slow to keep up with the speed of change due to the ideologies connected to face -to - face training and the logistics of the project. Traditional training takes place in a room, with a whiteboard and is performed by a trainer who provides printed materials for trainees to work in groups or pairs as part of the traditional lesson plan structure. This is NOT to be replaced by any means. The in-person training model serves an important role in the industry. However, there is a case to be made for the alternative that is now available. It is on this that I will focus over the next few weeks as we consider the people who could be ideal for the online training option.
I intend to look into all aspects of life, such as availability, confidence, current working practices, learning style and solution to restrictions imposed by work or even the external environment.
I hope you will join me.
